The last four months have been crazy!! Time seems to be passing quickly. I’ve had experiences that have taken me much deeper with God and I’ve gotten a glimpse of who I’m made to be, and my faith is stronger than ever before. I have seen how God can speak, provide, and surround me in love. I’ve had revelations of how awesome God’s promises are, how prayers are powerful, and how God desires us.
There’s been a LOT of preparation underway for this trip! I moved in with my mom to save money, and I’ve been working at her office four days a week, and at the Bistro on Tuesdays. I’ve just begun getting vaccines, which is way more in depth than I had imagined. It was my first time ever having a vaccine (hard to believe I know), I have many more left to get. I got pretty much all my equipment I need and started to condition myself by walking miles and miles. I’ve got the backpack, the tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, sleeping bag liner, airporter (bag to carry backpack in during travel), four packing cubes, and a camping pillow. I’ve already tested it all out, and I’m growing more excited. I’m 20% funded for the trip! I’ve started trying to set up my Charles Swabb account–international bank account with no ATM fees. Also, my passport was stolen a few months ago, so I’ve had to apply for a new birth certificate so I can apply for a new passport. I’ve really been trying to prepare myself emotionally, physically, and spiritually. I’m aiming to develop a lifestyle of being adaptable and flexible, grateful in all things, confident in who God has called me to be, and living loved.
There’s been a lot of ups and downs the last few months!
I was rear-ended at a stoplight and since then have had concussion symptoms, chiropractic treatments, an MRI and am going to be seeing other doctors soon. I’m also now taking big handfuls or supplements and vitamins daily. I’m doing a lot to focus on my wellbeing.
God has given me some words of knowledge for others and meaningful dreams and coincidences. It’s been the biggest preview of what’s to come and how God wants to use me! I find that I’m put in the right places at the right times, given opportunities to share who God has been for me to those who have been prepared for that moment. I love how everyone at their core wants something deeper, something more than what the world tells you is “the dream.” My dream is to leave an impact, to create something that will last, to inspire others to service and empowerment, to “plant trees under whose shade you’ll never sit,” and to live boldly for the sake of Christ.
I’m in the midst of fundraiser planning, but my first event is a painting party!
