My heart is overflowing with love and gratitude after spending one of the most spiritual and blessed weeks of my life with my dear daughter Regan and her World Race family in Rwanda. It was incredible to be with my daughter after 7 months of separation and seeing the transformation and growth of her faith and love for Jesus had such a profound impact on my heart. I still have a vision of Regan, the racers, parents and the local Rwandans praying, singing and dancing with all their hearts in Pastor Moses’s small village church. A memory I will cherish forever.

I was awe inspired meeting and working with Regan’s WR family, friends and parents~ they’re all such spirtual & special souls! I loved them all!

It was very interesting experiencing a slice of Regan’s missionary life and I did my best to embrace it without complaining. However, I must admit, I was not thrilled about sharing a bedroom with 12 women with little to no running water, bucket showers and toilets that barely flushed but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. It was good for me to surrender and experience Regan’s world, after all, she’s sacrificed the comforts of home, friends, organic cuisine, pedicures( i was shocked when I saw her feet. LOL) and so much more for the past 7 months, so I could certainly do it for one week! I’m forever grateful for Regan and World racers for bringing me back to things that matter most in life~ Faith, family and serving others! It was a great lesson in rightsizing my ego! haha! However, I must admit, my gratitude list for the beautiful life I live in California grew exponentially this week. I am truly blessed!

I loved meeting and serving the faithful and beautiful people of Rwanda, especially Pastor Moses, his family and community. I know Jesus was smiling from the heavens above as we served and prayed alongside of Pastor Moses, his faithful church members and village communities. I wish I could do more for them, but, I guess for now, my prayers and loving thoughts will have to suffice.

I could go on and on about the powerful impact of my experience in Rwanda. I will never forget the healing, the miracles, testimonies, the worshiping and the powerful work of God that I witnessed firsthand! The World Racers are truly changing the world for the better and I’m humbled and inspired by their tireless and selfless dedication to God!
I was amazed by Regan, who has grown into a strong, wise, faithful leader and servant of our Lord. I couldn’t be more proud of my daughter and now, my teacher and sister in Christ.

Although I miss Regan with all my heart, I feel so happy that she is following her dreams and living a life of strong faith and conviction.
I pray this will be the beginning of many opportunities to serve the world with Regan for years to come.

Until then, may the Lord protect our precious Regan and all of the World Racers as they continue their ministry for their final 4 months in South America.
Thanks be to God, Regan, the World racers, parents, facilitators and WR staff for inviting me to be a part of their soulful and sacred journey in Rwanda.

I am, forever grateful,
Maureen ( Regan’s Mom)

Ps
I’m counting down the days to see my girl again. I’ll have an organic green juice and pedicure waiting for you??
