You made it! You finished the World Race! Your life got flipped upside down, backwards in so many incredible ways these last 11 months!
The World Race catchphrase ‘More than a mission trip’ could not be more accurate.
You’ve grown and you’ve changed. The girl that first stepped foot on a plane 11 months ago is not the same girl that just stepped off of one now.
Sometimes the growth was hard, but mostly it was just beautiful. This journey you went on was about far more than missions in 11 countries – it was a spiritual awakening.
You experienced the love of God through other people in 11 different languages. You saw things that both simultaneously broke and filled your heart. You experienced spiritual combat firsthand and saw the power of God come out on top every time.
You made not just 40 new friends, but 40 new family members. 40 people that will always be there for you and fight for you.
You will never be the same because you have been irreversibly changed in the most incredible way possible.
I hope that when you look back, you don’t see this as the end, but a new beginning, because you’ve just started on God’s path for your life.
The surface has barely been scratched on whats coming next – I can feel it.
Hold onto your hope, press in hard during the difficult times and don’t forget to love yourself in the process.
