Your girl is what you call a text book Introvert, I fill up by being alone, like completely absolutely, phone on silent, no phone turned off, room in darkness,  no sounds type of alone.

Back in America finding alone time was easy peasy, I could go to my room and close my block out curtains (best target purchase, blocks out any light), put my phone on do not disturb and lay in bed for hours, either reading, talking to myself or God or going to my living room and watching a movie or HGTV. (yeah I said it).
My other option was driving to my secret location beach and staying there for hours.

Than I came on the world race……and it all changed, I had to fight for my alone time; meaning letting my team know,  listen I love you but I love me more and I need to be alone, don’t take it personal but I need this to function within a good place. And my team(s) have been amazing about honoring my need for alone time.

AND than Africa happened,….The mother land…. introverts don’t say your girl didn’t give you a heads up.

1. Don’t come on the world race if you don’t like being surrounded by 15 women on a daily basis,  24/7 who just love you, like really care for you by serving you, they cook, clean, laugh, teach you how to dance, let your hold their babies kind of love

2. Don’t come on the world race if you like going for walks alone without some of the cutest kids following you even if all they are wearing are underwear and a shirt.

3. Don’t come on the world race if you like going to bed early unless you want to end your night learning and dancing to traditional African dances while laughing so hard your stomach hurts.

4. Don’t come on the race if you don’t like showering with Lucy (one of the ladies in the village) standing outside the bathroom while your under beautiful sky full of stars.

5. Don’t come on the race if you like sleeping in and missing delicious meals with cute half naked, mostly fully naked babies running around the house. (bootys!!!)

6. Don’t come on the race if you don’t like getting prayed for by pray warriors when your sick or when your actually taking a nap but the language barrier caused confusion so you just gave up and took the pray.

**This is all I have for now, dont say I didn’t warn you…other introvert racers or alumni feel free to add more in the comment below.**

Introverts if you are open and honest about needing alone time and not use that as an excuse to miss ministry or hide, your team will honor you by giving you that alone time,  it’s just going to sometimes look different than what your use to at home, after all your on the world race.

**Your girl is almost fully funded and it’s all thanks to YOU!!! I just need 52 people to donate $50 and your girl can finally scream I’M FULLY FUNDED.
