Have you ever received a gift and you do not know what to do with it because you did not ask for it or ever thought about even receiving it. The Holy Spirit gives gifts according to His will, I have prayed for a few and received them and than there’s others that I just never ever prayed for.
Those are usually the harder ones I’ve had to deal with, what do I do with something that I was not prepared for?
How do soI go about using these gifts without misusing them or worst hurting people along the way.
This has been my struggle this month, receiving new gifts and not knowing what to do with them, how to manage them or how to control them in a way I am not overwhelmed
or cuase hurt/damage.
One of my favorite things to do is ask God questions, like why this, or why that, how come and what in the world santiago am I suppose to do with this?
This time I not only question Him but I was annoyed, frustrated and irritated with it, I did not ask for this, I can barely deal with all the other stuff He is calling me up to do
and now this. How can this be?
God: Who gave you your gifts?
Me: ummm you?!
God: If someone gives you a gift and you don’t know what to do with it, what do you usually do?
Me: I either put it anyway somewhere and forget about it or I research how to use it?
God: ssoooooo
Me: sooooooo…………
God: Who gave you your gifts?
Me: you, You gave me my gifts
God: do you want them?
Me: silent
God: Do I do things with a purpose?
Me: Always.
God: do you want your gifts?
Me: I trust you so yes but how and what am I suppose to do this them? like seriously
God: There you go, you asked the gifter what to do with it and now this is a season where I will teach you how to use them
in the way I created them to be used.
Me: uuhhhhhhh its sooo heavy and I get soo tired sometimes
God: I know daughter. When your learning a new skill it usually takes time, it usually hurts and takes you to very uncomfortable places but I will never leave you. I will always be here to guide and teach you how to use the gifts.
I have given and chosen you for. This is no mistake, you are ready for this, you can handle this, I created you for this. You just have to stay at my feet, remain dancing with me, remain seek me, remain in pray, continue to fight and push for all I have for you but do it with me. I am always here even when it seems heavy or dark. There is no where you will ever go that I can not go.
Me: sigh..this sounds like its going to be a battle field.
God: it can be a battle field where you die more to yourself and live more in me or it could be a battle field where you
die to yourself and come out broken and heavy. Choice is ALWAYS yours.
Me: Dad, I came into this with my all, so yes I choose you, your gifts, your guidance and everything else that comes with
that.
God: I adore you and ALWAYS will.
so Guatemala month 2, has already broken me spiritually but has also brought back my boldness that I lost…so lucifer, satan I am coming for your head
and everything you have stolen from me that my heavenly father gave me.
