During training camp we had a women’s retreat (don’t worry the men had their men’s retreat as well that same day).
Here is where my heart for community matured and my love for each and everyone of these women grew. We shared our pasted, lies and shame with one another, we spoke truth into those lies and removed shame from our hearts. The Holy Spirit was with us and showed us how to let go of all that has broken us, all that he had healed us from but we kept holding on too. He also revealed some brokenness that we had suppressed and forgetting about and walked us through truth.
My favorite part of this day were the promises we made to each other and the squad (yes guys the promises were made on your behalf as well.)
A few of the promises are to be bold, honest, brave, revive, enough, rest and soo much more.
We will fight for each other and not leave anyone behind in brokenness, we will love each other the way God loves us…we will have fun and find joy in the mist of chaos and above all we will serve God as ONE!!!
