This month was the ninth month of my race! Can you believe it!?

My squad spent the month in Chiang Mai, Thailand. It was our second all-squad month, which means all 24 of us stayed at one hostel together all month long doing ministry, worshiping, and just doing life together.

The last blog I wrote tells a little bit about what was going on in my mind this month but lemme just tell ya what I DID this month!

I babysat two of the cutest twin baby boys for my ministry this month!

No joke. That is a real life ministry opportunity that was for sure one of my favorite ministries EVER!

I mean I got to snuggle 2 month old babies y’all!

These sweet boys belong to two long term team members staying here in Chiang Mai. The long term team is here to run the hostel we are staying at as a business as missions organized by Adventures in Missions. Erica and David have been here a few months now learning how to speak Thai, having babies, and figuring out how to run a business and be new parents all at the same time.

They are so amazing!

Erica is the pretty lady in the white flower shirt next to Julia.

This month was all about helping them out. I went over to their house every other day to help watch the boys while they learned Thai. When they weren’t doing Thai we would just sit and talk about life, testimonies, and the race.

I think this month was a month of looking forward to the future and what God has for me there. He used this month to prepare me to be a mother, to live my life as a missionary even if it is from home, and how to find rest.

I often spent my time sitting in coffee shops…alone. I would read a book or just talk to the Lord. He would ask me to go on dates with Him and to just rest in His arms.

It wasn’t easy.

I often felt like I was wasting my time and not doing enough. Looking back I know those were all lies from the enemy.

I was meant to be alone with the Lord. Just sitting with Him and listening. Praying and worshiping Him.

It wasn’t a month full of going and doing. It was a month of being and becoming.

Thailand is beautiful and this month will go down in history of one I will love and never forget.

Thank you month nine. It’s been real.

Blessings,
Niki
