Hey friends, family, and supporters! We are officially in the second month of the Race! We have just spent the past 5 days having a “debrief” where staff flies in to just help us process our time in India and just get the most out of this time the Lord has given us.
Nepal is amazing and I am absolutely loving every minute of being here. Everywhere you go, the Himalayas’ strong, quiet presence is there in the background, reaching unfathomably high into the sky. At times you can’t even tell the difference between mountain and clouds. God’s handiwork is uniquely intricate in all of His creation.
Something we we told today by our ministry host is that Nepal has the fastest growing rate of Christianity in the entire world. You can feel it in the atmosphere that there is a revival going on! During our days of debrief, we spent a lot of time hitting the town and seeing the sights. We were able to share the Gospel on multiple occasions, just by telling people that we are Christians. They are so receptive and so hungry for Jesus! Just like in India, people worship idols and pray to false gods. Hinduism is a religion of confusion. Nepalis are so ready for clarity and the freedom from striving to earn their “good karma”. When I tell them Jesus takes away our “karma”, they are riveted by this Good News. Please pray that through these short interactions, seeds can be planted in their hearts.
Also, it’s “ALL SQUAD MONTH”! Normally when we are in-country, we split up into teams and disperse throughout the land. This month all 50 of us get to stay in a large house together, fellowship, and do ministry together! It’s just the absolute best, although sometimes tough for a little introvert like me. We find out tomorrow what ministry will look like for the rest of this month.
