You may already know that I was really sick this month in Thailand.
So sick that I actually had to be hospitalized for the first time in my life.

I was diagnosed with dysentery as we left Cambodia, and my body just wouldn’t recover.
It was a really difficult, scary time… because it was the first moment I truly wanted to go home.
Sitting in the hospital bed, I was discouraged, scared, and of course, homesick.
I prayed to God, asking Him to renew my strength. To heal me. I was praying this scripture over and over:
Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Psalm 51:12
That’s when the Holy Spirit reminded me of you. My family. My prayer team. My warriors back home.
A team leader encouraged me to post on Facebook about my situation, and the prayers came flooding in. I read them, holding back tears, thinking, “I know the Lord answers prayers. I know He’ll bring me through this.”
And He did. Because He’s faithful.
Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over my word to perform it.” Jeremiah 1:12
So I just wanted to send out a formal thank you note. Thank you for praying for me.
God is using you!
