My sister and I are about to embark on an 11-month journey together. Kind of. We’ll always be in the same country and we’ll meet up every few weeks, but we’re serving with two different teams of seven.
To Sarah’s team, DiVine Roots, this letter is for you.
Dear Edna, Katie, Kimbra, Sam, Taylor, and Tiffany:
You are all so precious to me. Not only because you said yes to the call of God on your life, but because you’ll be living out that call with my sister, Sarah.
Before you take off, I wanted to give you three quick insights on my little sister:
She’s Inviting. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, Sarah is a shoulder to cry on. She embodies Proverbs 25:11, “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.” She loves with her whole heart.
She’s Deep. Sarah has so much wisdom to share with the world. You’ll soon discover her passion for human rights, especially human trafficking. If you want your world shaken, ask her what she thinks about something political. She’s not always the first to share her opinions, but she loves a good conversation with someone who’s willing to listen with an open heart.
She’s Adventurous. Sarah was born with a spirit of adventure. She spent a summer in China and two in Japan. Be forewarned, though, she’s prone to wander. Thankfully, we use the buddy system on the World Race! Good luck and have fun keeping up with this girl!
I know God chose YOU to be a part of my sister’s journey for a reason. He’s going to do amazing things in and through you all these next 11 months.
Know that I’ll be praying over each of you throughout this journey.
