You. Are. MORE. (A letter to my students)
During the months of November and Decembe, lived in Thailand! When we arrived there I quickly found that this was a HUGE shame culture and when your a kindergartner… shame hurts. Shame is scary… shame works. But it also doesn’t at all. It just causes fear… if I was accurately able to communicate with my students this is what I’d say.
You are more. More than there words there laughter and the shame they make you feel. You are more than the lessons you just don’t understand. You are more than the hurt and fear anyone could cause you. YOU ARE SO MUCH MORE, BECAUSE YOU ARE HIS!
Your beautiful, you are kind, and your heart is so pure harboring no hate, unforgiveness, or anger. The shame you are made to feel is not okay, and it’s not something you were created to feel. You were created to give and receive love. You were created to to know and feel the comfort of people around you. You were created because Christ saw a reason the world needed you with all your joy, and peace, and all the cute little quirks you come with. You were created to be His! 2 Corinthians 6:18 “and I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”
