Right behind our home in France, there is a huge park that overlooks the city with an indescribable view. We often go here to worship, pray, and host Bible studies; it’s a great way to meet people in our community.
Our first evening at the park, we met a lovely woman, whom I’ll always cherish. She approached our team as we were worshiping, so full of life and hungry for “unconditional love.” We talked for quite a while and she spoke with great wonder about love and “the source.” She shared with us a vision that she had about a “beautiful man in white.” She kept emphasizing how bright and beautiful the man was. She said that she saw herself sitting at his feet, and as he placed his hand on her she felt an overwhelming love and peace. She looked at each of us and said she saw the same love in us. We were beyond ecstatic to share with her who she saw in her vision and who she saw in us…the “source,” for which she was longing. We explained that the Man she saw, and the source of the deep, unconditional love she described was Jesus. We shared the Gospel with her and it all began to click. She came to know the Name of love that day. Immediately, she was eager to share with others what she learned. As we walked home that evening she stopped halfway there, turned to me and said, “You all are living proof that God exists.”
We continued to meet up with her over the next couple of days, going through some of the Bible with her. Our last evening meeting with her, she wanted to worship with us again, and take some pictures and videos. So…we worshiped and danced our hearts out atop of a small hill in the park! This all took place right by four men who were a few beers into their evening….and after a few snickers and mildly awkward glances and interactions…they jumped right in…literally! We jumped, sang, and danced for Jesus with four strangers…it was amazing! With the help of the woman we met the first night, we shared with the men that the music and dancing that they loved was all for Jesus. They told us that they didn’t really believe in God; and one of the guys from our squad began to share his testimony with them. After our worship session/dance party we spent the remainder of the evening talking with the men, as the woman we met the first night continued to translate for us. They said they were, “impressed by us,” and that we “were different from any other Americans they have ever met.” We shared with them that its Jesus who sets us apart. And they asked to hear more about what we believed. The woman who we shared the Gospel with the first evening then began to share the Gospel with them; it was beautiful! We concluded the evening by praying over our new friends. I’m so excited for all that the Lord has in store for each of them!
A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” ~John 13:34-35

Thank you all so much for your continued prayers and support! An update on our time at the refugee site so far is coming very soon!
