Okay, so I know when I first said I was going on this trip that I was gonna be going to Thailand and Cambodia, so this post is to let you know what changed and why I’m now going to Peru!
Back when I was accepted to the semester trip I had to choose which route I wanted to go on, so I prayed for a few weeks over the options given and felt God calling to go to Thailand and Cambodia! Well a few weeks ago I started to get this feeling in my gut and at first I had no clue what it was or what it could be, so I began to pray about it and asked some close friends and family to pray with me! As I started to seek out Gods will for this trip I started to see things in my everyday life pointing me to Peru!! I had honestly not even given Peru a thought when I first signed on, just didn’t seem like somewhere I’d go… or so I thought! One day I was at work and I was talking to a random lady about missions and about how I was working towards going one a missions trip in January, she ever so causally mentioned that she had gone on a missions trip to Peru a few years back. It was like literally everywhere I went and everything I did was leading me to Peru!! So once again I talked to my close friends and some mentors and after spending more time in prayer I made the decision to switch to Peru!! I’ve had such peace since switching, and have since God moving in ways I’ve only heard of before!! I’m so excited to see what else God is gonna do and who he is gonna use!
Right now I don’t have all the details of what ministry I’ll be partnering with in Peru, but I have been told that we’ll be doing some children’s ministry and I’m So excited for that!! I’ve always been so involved in the children’s ministries in my church that doing anything else would just be weird, but at the same time I know that thats not the only thing we’ll be doing so I’m so excited to find out what else we’ll doing and what different kinds of people we’re going to be able to reach!!
So please join me in praying over every aspect of this trip!! For the cost, to the travels, to the people going, and the people God is gonna put in our paths for us to reach and help!! Also pray about how you can help me in this journey!!!
