Hello friends & family!
I am currently sitting in the airport in Kenya, waiting to get on our flight to Ethiopia, to begin Month 9!
I am sure that all of you know that I am still fundraising and that I have a deadline to be fully funded by September 1, which is a week and two days away! I was able to raise $900 with the last fundraiser that I did, which is absolutely incredible and I am so thankful for every single one of you who donated! That leaves me at still needing to raise $5,200 by September 1.
As much as I fully trust and believe that God knows exactly where the $5,200 dollars is going to come from and that He’s going to lead people to donate and support me while I’m overseas doing missions work, I also know fully well that I need to do my part in fundraising. I have found it pretty difficult to fundraise while being overseas, but I know the biggest way is to continue to post about it and keep you all updated with what the Lord is doing.
So with that, I want to share of few highlights from Month 8! Just this last month, we saw 5 people give their lives to Christ and 10 people get water baptized (Halellujah!), we fasted for a day and prayed for healing for a ladies physical eyesight to be restored and are believing it will be, we led a two day Beauty For Ashes event for the women’s club, we led a kid’s club every Saturday for three weeks, we danced and laughed, we loved on more kids than I can count, we had sweet fellowship around the breakfast, lunch, and dinner table each day, we shared testimonies, we prayed for people, we shared the Good News, we loved on the staff just as much as they loved on us, we worshipped, we baked a lot of bread and cakes for the Gazelle Coffee House ministry, we experienced the thick Presence of God in the form of joy, peace, and rest, and we were Woven Together like family with the people of the Maasai Mara Tribe for the last four weeks. It was a month that I will never forget. I left a big chunk of my heart there and am praying that the Lord sends me back someday, sooner rather than later.
Without each and every one of your support, this last month would not have been possible. Heck, the last two years of my life would not have been possible. I am more grateful than could ever be put into words for this opportunity of a lifetime. I have never been more free and more alive than I am right now, in this very moment, while sitting in the airport in Nairobi, Kenya waiting to fly to Ethiopia. In two years, I have been to 24 countries and have met beautiful people, prayed for and witnessed healings, loved on the brokenhearted, shared the Love of Jesus, witnessed countless salvations, have seen baptisms and have had the opportunity to baptize a few people, have had my entire life flipped upside down in the best way possible, have received so much healing to my own heart, have been stretched, pressed, and crushed, in order to bring new wine out of me, and have literally seen the Kingdom of Heaven touch Earth all over the world and in my own life, in a radical way.
I want each of you to know that you’re not just giving money to give, but you’re partnering with me in allowing God to lead me to the Nations to live out the Great Commission. Your donations are more than just donations. It’s people’s soul’s. Your donations allow me the opportunity to go and witness and share with lost soul’s throughout the Nations.
Will you please prayerfully consider donating? If you would like to donate, you can click the “Donate!” button at the top of the page to do so OR you can venmo me “@madisonthompson-‘. Thank you all so much for the support! And most importantly, thank you for investing into the Kingdom of God.
With love & so much gratitude,
Mads
