Welcome to India (through photos)! πŸ™‚

I had the privilege of splitting this month between two different teams. I want to show you all what embracing Indian culture & living in the village looked like this month. Enjoy the photos! πŸ™‚

Welcome! With Team Valor, we slept in the church on our lovely sleeping pads.

This is where we took refreshing bucket showers.

This here is the squatty potty life. & if you look closely you’ll see the lizard on the wall that liked to join our bathroom adventures sometimes! πŸ˜‰

& here we have our clothes line where we hung our clothes after we hand washed them. πŸ™‚

This is the well where we got our water to wash clothes & dishes, for bucket showers,  to “flush” the squatty potties, & for anything else we made have needed water for. πŸ™‚

In India, you eat every meal with your hands & it’s the most fun!

This is my girl Whitney and I enjoying our Chai. πŸ™‚ Chai breaks should for sure be a thing in the States.

& these are the lovely ladies of Team Valor. πŸ™‚

One of my co squad leaders, Lynna, and I traveled and spent the second half of the month in another village with one of our guy teams, Resurgent. Enjoy the photos from our time with them! πŸ™‚

This is what village life looks like. *insert the happiest smiling face* πŸ™‚

You can expect a herd of water buffalo to come through at any time!

The well & hand washing clothes area.

Lynna getting her beauty sleep. πŸ˜‰ We slept on the roof, because 110 degrees.

Precious lady & her one month old water buffalo that she let me pet!!! πŸ™‚

Team Resurgent and some incredible people & kiddos from the village. πŸ™‚

It was the greatest month! Truly. I absolutely loved living the rural village life! India is filled with bright colors, hospitality like i’ve never experienced before, chai, curry, & a whole lot of sweat. πŸ™‚

I hope you enjoyed a look into life here in India!!! πŸ™‚

With love & buckets of sweat,

Mads
