Month 3 has officially come to an end and we are already a few days into month 4! SO crazy!!! I can’t believe it.
Last month was absolutely incredible in every way possible. We had the most loving and amazing hosts EVER. Val and Emi are a perfect example of what being a servant of Christ looks like. We learned so much from them and had more fun than we could have ever imagined we would, being in a small village that was 30 minutes away from the nearest grocery store.
At the end of last month, we were able to go to Thessaloniki, Greece for a few days as our adventure for month 3. We were able to surprise and bless our ministry host by inviting them to come to Greece with us and then paying for their transportation and lodging. They hadn’t been able to go on vacation in years and it was truly an honor to help make this trip possible for them. Going to Greece was the absolute greatest idea we could have ever come up with!!! We had an incredible time. We went canyoning on Mt. Olympus, visited a winery, road on a pirate ship at sunset, went to Toms coffee shop, walked through a Christmas store and saw Christmas trees, sat on the rooptop terrace of our AirBnb and had amazing conversations and ate some pretty yummy food!
* I wanted to show you all some pictures, but due to lack of quality WiFi, they wont upload, so stay tuned on Facebook to see the pretty pictures from our Greece trip!*
Once we got back from Greece, we started our 3 day travel to Asia! We had a short flight from Sofia, Bulgaria to Istanbul, Turkey and then a 2 hour layover before we hopped on a 10 hour flight to Kuala Lumpur. Once arriving in Kl, we met up with our new team. Since it’s MANistry month, Alex, Liz and I, were put on an ALL GIRLS TEAM!!! From the airport in KL, we had to take a 1 hour bus trip to the bus station that we needed to get on to then travel to our ministry site. The last bus for the day ran at 11pm and we weren’t able to get there in time to get on it. So, we spent the night in the bus station and woke up real early the next morning to get on the 8 hour bus that would take us to Kuala Terengganu, where we would meet up with our ministry host.
Ministry this month looks a little different than most…
It will be a month of flexibility, as we’ll be moving around to partner with different churches along the East coast. We’ve been asked to be flexible, proactive, and Spirit led this month! Below is our schedule for the month and I’m super pumped about it:
-Pastor Stephen with St. Andrew’s Church, Kuala Terengganu, Nov 6-14?
-Pastor Simon with St. Martin’s Church, Kota Bharu, Nov 14-20
-Pastor David with Church of the Epiphany, Kuantan Nov 20-27
I can’t wait to see all that the Lord does this month!
With love from across the world,
Madison
P.S. stay tuned for a blog where I’ll be introducing my new ALL GIRL team!!!
(Team Alabaster) 🙂
