The story I’m about to tell happened during month two, but I’m just now finding the time to sit down and write about it. It’s too good not to share, even if it happened a few weeks ago.

This is about a girl named Brooklyn, whom I met last summer in Haiti, while volunteering at God’s Littlest Angels Orphanage. She is an incredible woman of God and it was such a blessing to have met her. While in Haiti, her and I briefly talked about The World Race. And well, I’m sure you know the rest of my story, of how I got here.

But what you don’t know, is that Brooklyn read my blogs and decided to do the Race herself. She is on Gap L Squad, where they go to five different countries in nine months.

At the end of month one of my race, I wrote a blog with a recap of the month and that we were headed to Romania for month two. She commented on my blog and told me that her squad was going to Romania for month one of their race! I thought that was pretty cool, but honestly didn’t think much of it, because we were going to be in the North and they were going to be in the South. I was super excited for her to begin this journey though.

Fast forward to month two, week three of my race, where my teams ministry host, Raul, set up a three day trip for us to travel around Romania and see a few cities. One of those cities happened to be Draganesti, where our ministry host lives, and where Gap L was staying and doing ministry for the month.

We arrived on the second day of our three day trip, after a long day of traveling, and it took me a minute to realize that I had met majority of Gap L Squad, but none of them had been Brooklyn. I began to ask around and was told that she had gone to the store. I had some conversations with a few of the girls and then look up to see Brooklyn walking through the gate! I was so excited to see her! She was just as surprised/shocked as I was that we were seeing each other again! It was crazy cool. We had a great conversation about how cool God is, that He would orchestrate such a time and place for us to see each other again. We got to celebrate the Lord’s faithfulness and His promises that had come to fruition in both of our lives!

Coincidence? Nah. It was all God and His perfect plans. It was such a God moment for me.

He is so creative, y’all.

The first picture below is of our group from when we were in Haiti together over a year ago! Brooklyn is on the far left and I’m two people over from her.

The second picture is of the beautiful Brooklyn and I, a few weeks ago when we were in Romania together, doing this thing called The World Race!!!
