X SQUAD at the Miami airport!!!
Travel Day(s)
My squad’s travel day began extremely early Monday morning. At 2a.m. we all loaded up on a bus and headed to the airport! We flew out of ATL, to Miami, at 7:45a.m. where we had a 6 hour layover. 3 of our teams are going to Albania for Month 1 and 4 of our teams are going to Serbia. My team and 3 others are headed to Serbia, so we had to say “see ya later” to 3 of our teams for the next 3 weeks! We then flew out of Miami at 4:15p.m. for an 8 hour flight to Lisbon, Portugal. We just arrived! I’m writing this blog post from Portugal!!! How cool is that?! Portugal is 5 hours ahead of us so it’s 6:30a.m. here, but 1:30a.m. at home. With only about 2 and a half hours of sleep since Sunday + this time change = a very confused body!! So somebody pray for ya girl! We have about a 4 hour layover, and then we will get on a flight to Budapest, Hungary, where we will be hanging out for about 4-5 hours and having dinner in the airport, then around 8p.m. we will get on a 3-4 hour bus ride to Novi Sad, Serbia, where we should arrive around midnight. We will be spending the night at a church building that one of our teams will be doing ministry at for the month. The next morning my team will get on another 2 hour bus ride to Sombor, Serbia. We will not arrive in Sombor until Wednesday morning, August 9! Since we’ve only made it to Portugal, as of right now, these travel plans could change, but will hopefully stay pretty close to these.
I just wanted to update you all on our travel info, and I’m asking for prayers through Wednesday, that we would all arrive safely at our ministry hosts!
I’m super excited to arrive in Sombor, Serbia and to get started with the ministry we are serving with this month! Thank you all for subscribing and following along on all the Lord is going to do over the next 11 months!
