Hey everyone! Welcome to my first blog post! I want to start by saying that I am no writer so this is going to be a challenge in itself for me. Haha! Hopefully, I’ll get better at this as the time goes on. So, a question that I’m sure many people have thought, some people being brave enough to ask, is “who in their right mind would be willing to quit their job, move out of their apartment that they’ve called home for two years, leave family, friends, and even pets behind, as well as leaving all familiarity and “comforts” behind, to go across the world for an entire year living out of 2 backpacks, sleeping in tents, hiking no telling how many miles, just to love on complete strangers?” I have one simple answer- because we are called to. That’s right…we’re called to leave everything we know behind to go into other nations and share the gospel with people who have never heard the truth. Some never even hearing of the name Jesus. He’s all we need! All we are called to do, is trust in him and he does the rest even when that means going to the ends of the earth, literally. Another question I’m sure some have thought about is, why do you feel you have to go across the world when there are lost people right here living next door. Well, you’re right, we are ALL called to be missionaries, but not ALL are called to go across the world to share the gospel to the most remote parts. No matter what, we are all working as a whole to further the kingdom of Christ. As a thousand emotions run over me daily now trying to wrap my mind about the journey I’m about to embark, I have to stop myself, and remember that God is in control. He is a faithful and loving God. He is an all knowing God. He is a God who wants his children to trust him. I know I’m guilty of trying to make decisions that I feel is best for myself.. in the end quickly finding out that it wasn’t what was best. This is one huge thing God is still revealing to me. Just let go, and give it to God. He has our best interest in mind! What a relief isn’t it?? So why is it that we still so often think we know better than he does? We just have to trust him! That’s what I’m now learning to do. I’m giving up everything that I know because this is what God wants me to do. I’ll be leaving in January and will be gone for 11 months, spending each month in a different country. My team and I will be doing anything from serving in local churches, playing with kids in orphanages, ministering to women and children who are victims of sex trafficking, building and construction and many other things. Please not only be in prayer for myself and my team, but also for the people that we will be coming into contact with.

Please be on the look out for regular blogs from this point on, you can subscribe and follow me the entire 11 months that I’m also gone! Shirts will be available hopefully in the next week, just waiting to approve my final design so be on the lookout for a post regarding that. Please PLEASE be in prayer for me during this journey as I prepare spiritually and emotionally. Satan has already begun to attack which means that I’m on the right path God is laying for me. I covet each and every one of yalls prayers!
