Hello!
My name is Kristine Peterson. I am 26 years old, born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and am completely humbled by the direction in which God has led me. I have an awesome family who is always extremely supportive of me. I enjoy reading, a good thunderstorm, listening to music, and learning new things. I help teach Children’s Church at Valley Creek where I have the wonderful opportunity to share God’s word and love with our future leaders. It is there that we get to show them that God is good, Jesus has forgiven us, we are loved, and that everything is possible!
So why the World Race you ask? Over the last several months, while pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and working, I felt God pulling me in a different direction. I kept hearing God say “Missions, Missions.” Now I have wanted to do missions work since my first mission trip to Africa about 8 years ago but was not sure to what extent. So after a lot of prayer and research I came across the World Race. Now I’ll be honest at first I was like “No that can’t be right I’ve never done anything like that, this wasn’t the plan!” Of course little did I know this was the plan. He kept pursuing me and putting it on my heart until I finally decided to be faithful and apply toward the end of July. Now here I am, accepted to the race with only a little over 4 months left before leaving to witness and spread His Love, Grace, and Mercy to the nations. I mean can I just say God is so Good!
I am so excited to see what God has in store for me and those around me over the next year. I hope you will join me on this wonderful journey not only through financial support but by keeping me, my team, and those that we come in contact with in your prayers.
