Hello there,

If you’re reading this, you know exactly who you are. Unfortunately, all the text messages and blog posts in the world cannot adequately show you my gratitude but I will certainly try.

I suppose I shouldn’t have been surprised when I saw that you were my first donor. You have supported me in so many ways these past few years. From huge things such as teaching me more and more about Jesus to little moments of coffee and bagels at sunrise. You have been a constant source of support and encouragement in my life. I truly could not imagine my college years without you and wonder if I even would have made it to this exciting opportunity if it hadn’t been for you. You really did nurture my young faith in Christ in a lasting and impactful way.

As I read the email that gave me the details of the donation, I couldn’t help but be amazed. I hadn’t even begun fundraising. I simply posted my first blog and that prompted you to be so generous. It was the reassurance that I so needed in that moment. God has got this plan, and the funds will come in one way or another.

The thing that really blew me away was our phone conversation the following week. As you filled me in on your life right now and all of the struggles and joys that accompany it, I couldn’t believe that you would commit your money to me. Through financial difficulties, the stress of starting a business, and bouncing around between part time jobs, you still decided to donate a portion of your money to me each and every month. A big part of me has a hard time accepting the generosity of others and so my immediate feelings told me to send the money back to you, but a bigger part of me is so grateful for the ways that this allows you to participate in this ministry with me.

Thank you so much for believing in this ministry and my participation in it. Abba is doing a new thing, and YOU are making it possible. I am excited to continue on this adventure with you on my team. I love you.

With Love,

Kristen
