I hit the six hour mark and I was done. Done with waiting. Done with being at the hospital. Done with doctors. Done standing due to there not being any seats. Just done. Done waiting for CT results.
I finally told the Lord “ok if you want me to keep waiting then please send someone in that speaks English”.
Next thing I know in comes a man who speaks English. Praise the Lord hallelujah!
I began to talk with Dan and get to know him. He was in the hospital because of his dad who was suffering from liver failure. He had also been waiting for several hours. He grew up in church but doesn’t go anymore. He doesn’t believe in God anymore, only in himself. He works in Ireland and owns his own business. He is scared that his father will die. He is married with one child. He is searching for truth and hope.
He asked what I was doing at the hospital. I told him that I had been hit by a car and had to get tests run. He didn’t believe me. I then got to share about how good our Father is and how He protected me. How that same love He has for me that He also has for him. I got to share the Gospel and my testimony with Dan.
I got to spend a couple of hours with him while we were both waiting. I then got called back and had to tell him good bye. I am not sure where Dan is right now or what he believes. What I can confidently say though is that day a stirring began in his heart and questions were raised.
What is next for him, I am not sure. I am praying that the seeds that were planted will be watered soon and that Dan will know the Lord soon and find the hope he is searching for in Jesus.
