A glimpse of what a day in Ghana looks like each hour and how the Lord shows up amidst the chaos.

6:00- Wake up. Brush teeth. Wash face. Smell clothes in pile beside my bed to see if they are wearable (because clothes washing doesn’t happen as often as it should).

7:00- Devotional. Journaling. Try to find some solitude amongst 54 people living in the same place.

8:00- Breakfast. Fresh bread and omelettes. Hooray!

9:00- Arrived at church and weren’t exactly sure what we were doing there and proceeded to wait for instruction.

10:00- Left the church to head to ministry. We were supposed to go to a school but we couldn’t get permission so we did door to door evangelism instead. Change of plans, typical in Africa.

11:00- Met Fastia a lady working who we came across while evangelizing. We got to talk with her and found out that she was a believer. We asked if we could pray with her and she said of course. We then asked if there was anything specific she needed prayer for. She said that she had fallen in a gutter and broke her leg and was in a lot of pain. We then told her that we were going to pray healing over her and that the Lord’s will would be done. We finished praying and she walked away with no pain. We then sang a song and praised the Lord for what He had done.

12:00- We sat with a group of eight Muslim men and shared the gospel with them. They all came to know the Lord as their personal savior.

1:00- We had team time and played hot seat. A game where you get to ask your team mates any question and have to answer open and honestly. It got real personal real fast…

2:00- Lunch arrived. Plantains, red red (beans and fish, in hot sauce) and chicken

3:00- Talked with Ashley and got to know her a little better.

4:00- Left for ministry twenty-six people deep in a fifteen passenger van.

5:00- Met Andrew who just graduated from school and is wanting to go to school to be a surgeon. Found out he is a follower and passionate about the Lord. We invited him and his family to our kids day. We then prayed over him, his sister, and his mom.

6:00- Waited for the van to pick us up and take us back to the guest house.

7:00- Quick dance party with my room mates while we wait for dinner.

8:00- Dinner. Rice and salad which consisted of tuna, mayo, ketchup, beans, peppers, and onions.

9:00- Movie with squad mates in my room.

10:00- Movie was still playing but fell asleep in the middle of it because life in Africa can be exhausting at times.
