Yesterday during my alone time with the Lord God spoke to me in a way that he never has before. I always try to find a quiet, comfy-cozy place to sit and talk to him and study his Word. I put my headphones in and turn on my favorite worship music to drown out any miscellaneous noises that could distract me. However, yesterday I didn’t put any headphones in and I can’t tell you why.
About 2 hours into my alone time with the Lord I felt the Holy Spirit’s presence over take my every thought. I began to hear a sweet melody in my head. I got a vision of David writing a Psalm and before I knew it words were flowing into my journal to the melody I was hearing. I didn’t understand what was happening, but I wasn’t going to stop and over analyze it either.
I let the words flow. I let God speak. God spoke to me through a song. A Song!
Just like the words God gave David weren’t meant for him alone, I know these words aren’t meant to be confined to the pages in my journal.
I pray this song will reach each reader in the way God has intended it to. I pray God speaks to you through these words with the same intimacy he spoke to me.
I hear a sweet humming melody in my head…
Walk with me Daddy,
Simply hold my hand,
Let me dance in your waves,
And soar in your winds.
Walk with me Daddy,
Let’s leave our footprints in the sand,
Let’s scale the tallest mountains,
And bring your water to dry lands.
Walk with me Daddy,
Hold me ever so close,
That I know your warm embrace,
Deep inside my bones.
Walk with me Daddy,
As I spread your eternal fire,
Guard me with your armor,
Let your Word speak truth and inspire.
Walk with me Daddy,
Until the day when kingdom come,
When I walk through your gates,
And know that I am home.
Walk with me Daddy,
Let your light guide my way,
Let me reflect your beacon,
To all who have gone astray.
Walk with me Daddy,
Arm in arm, side by side,
As I sit humbly at your feet,
And cast away my pride.
Walk with me Daddy,
My Abba, my creator,
You sent your only Son,
To be crucified, your final battle won.
Walk with me Daddy,
So others can see your face,
Rest in your shadow,
And dwell in your secret place.
Walk with me Daddy,
Simply hold my hand,
Let me dance in your waves,
And soar in your winds.
Love,
Kace
