The past three days have been so eye opening that I HAD to blog about it. Today was the last day of this amazing Christian conference called the Passion Conference. This was my third year going and wow it was one for the books.
TONS of renown Christians spoke like Christine Caine, Francis Chan, John Piper, Beth Moore, Jay and Katherine Wolf, and Levi Lusko. These speakers rocked me to my very core. Each one of them bringing an amazing lesson to the table. Also, Carrie Underwood surprised us all and sang and I flipped out so hard.
Let me just paint you a picture of what this conference was like. Thousands of Christians from the ages of 18-25 rocking out and worshiping Jesus with all of their might. Every person shining a light throughout the Dome that could not come from any other thing other than the Holy Spirit.
Now, I live in the age group called the Millennials and we don’t have such a good rep. We are known for being lazy and being told that we are special. People say that we are quitters. We are after an impossible lifestyle of changing the world. We reject religion. We reject community.
I say.. they don’t know us at all. I spent the last three days surrounded by young adults who were completely obsessed with Jesus Christ. People say that we aren’t special, but God says differently. God new who I would be before my parents even knew I was there. God stitched me together with bits and pieces of my mom and dad. He designed me differently than my family. He designed me differently from the rest of the world.
I am special and so is everyone else. These poor millennials that don’t care for anybody but themselves? Yeah, they sponsor 4 countries worth of children so they can have food and an education. These millennials who can’t change the world? We are building hospitals and shinning a light on modern day slavery.
THESE SAME MILLENNIALS WHO REJECT RELIGION?! We are gathering together, all 55,000 of us, to worship and live our lives for Jesus Christ. We are changing how you will look at millennials from now on.
I say you know nothing about us. Get ready. We are determined to spread the love of God to all nations.
Passion has sparked a fire in each one of us that will never go out. Maybe the reason why everyone hates millennials so much is because the devil knows just the impact we have on the world.
Get ready 2017. There are 55,000 young adults scattered across the world that will spread the Gospel like wildfire.
This is only the beginning.
