Hey Kate’s supporters,

OH….IO. My name is Grace Gladney and I am the only other Ohioan on team TKO. Kate does not know what she has gotten herself into letting me post on her blog. I wanted to keep you all updated on our dear friend Kate. I also want you to know how lucky you are to have a Kate Anne Hogan in your life. She is truly one of a kind.
I thought I would start this blog with a quick story. We have a dog who eats our trash every night, and last night as Kate went outside to use the restroom at 3 am the viscous look of the dog peered into her soul. She then proceeded to wake me up ( at 3am) so that we may face the dog together. I saved Kate Hogan’s life. Therefore, every thing I’m saying in this blog is credible, and if you know Kate you owe me one. Reading this blog counts as payback for your sake;)
Kate is a born leader. She is incredibly gentle and patient, but always challenges us to serve to our full ability. She has the biggest servant heart, and she meets people’s needs before they know they need met. She lives her life as Jesus did, by example. Kate doesn’t need big fancy words to show her love for the Lord and desire for Him. Her life is a direct reflection of His love. She works for hours without complaining. In the four months I’ve been on a team with Kate I’ve never heard her complain once. She sacrifices her own needs for others, and loves in a genuine and bold way. She is one of the most humble people I have ever met.
Kate is a kick boxer, and this fighter mentality shows through her day to day life. She takes on a challenge, and works diligently to complete it. She is passionate and seeks the will of the Lord in all she does. Kate became Miss Teen Cleveland to spread truth and speak about the issue of sex-trafficking in front of thousands. Walking in high heels and flowy dresses became Kate’s normal even though Kate is more of a sneakers and Nike shorts type of girl. She was willing to sacrifice her comforts in order to follow the Lord’s will with boldness. This mentality carries unto her day to day life on the race.
I’ve watched Kate walk through the freedom experienced when a person gives grace to themselves. Kate truly is a woman of grace and of peace. I’ve seen Kate learn to seek rest in the Lord and find it.
Thank you so much for supporting Kate and allowing her to impact the people she comes in contact with including me. She has taught me so much about hard work, discipline, and sacrifice. God Bless.
