I am in Botswana!! We arrived safely Monday night, and I am blown away by our ministry host and their hospitality. I am only with my team this month, and the 8 of us are living in Kumak Wane, which is about our outside of the capitol city, Gaborone. Ministry this month will be partnering with our hosts Jeff and April in their new café. This will include events for youth during the day, worship and movie nights, and bible teachings to invite the community to. We have been so blessed with dorm rooms, a full kitchen, and real towels!!! Unfortunately, this month internet connection will be very limited, I hope to go into town once a week to catch up with you all, and post these blogs.
To keep myself accountable, I want to share my goals for these next 2 months with you all!!
- Learn what it truly means to hear the voice of the Lord
– The last 2 months my prayer has been to hear the Lord fully, and to know His voice. I am committing to pursing this during this month.
- Study a book of the Bible all the way through… very thoroughly
– I have started studying Acts, and I am excited to break it down further each day.
- Have Kate teach me 1 song on the piano
– We have a piano at our house, I am currently learning how to play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star… Ill have a live performance when I get home.
- Pictures, pictures, pictures
– I had failed myself and all of you the last 2 months with a lack of pictures. To keep me accountable I am promising you all more pictures (check Facebook in a week or so)!!
- Go on a Safari
– Africa… safari… how could I not??
I miss you all a whole lot. Thank you so so much for reading my blogs, and keeping up with this journey. The Lord is so good and I cannot wait to share all the things done in Botswana these next 2 months!
