This past month went by so quick but it was amazing for sure!! I had the opportunity to go to a house named Hope Home. Where they care for children that have special needs and just have incorporate them into there family! It was an amazing experience to be a part of and the kids were the best!! I just wanted to give you a glimpse of the kids that I had the opportunity to just meet and play with this month!!

The Little Monkey

WOW this little boy is something else!! From the joy and jumping that we encountered from the moment we walked in he is always ready to have fun and climb on everything and anything, including humans!! But what to know something even crazier he is a complete miracle! Nine month ago he was injured by falling from the second floor to the first floor of a building. His head was cracked open and when he was brought to the hospital his caretakers were told that he would most likely not survive. But God had a better plan for him! Not only did he survive but he is back to running around, jumping, swinging, and now about to start school again!! He brought a lot of joy to or whole team this month and his favorite song is head shoulder knees and toes as well as Little Green Frog. It just shows that one extra chromosome does not change a little boy from having fun and being a kid!!

Little Miss Sunshine

Now this girl is someone that has a lot of personality. Sometime when people walk in and see someone in a wheelchair and a treakanotmy they think that they do not understand what is going on. Well let me tell you that is not the case! Little Miss Sunshine loves to be read to especially if it is a princess book. One of my favorite days with little Miss Sunshine was the day that I spent almost an hour and a half just reading a Frozen book to her. Who would have thought that reading a book for just a short amount of time would bring so much JOY!! She is definitely a Full of SUNSHINE!!

Music Man

Mr Music Man is an understatement of the century!! This guy is somthing special for sure!! He is blessed with an extra chromosome but also has autism!! He does not communicate by words but he will show you where and what he would like. A few days I brought out the guitar that was in the office and the Music Man was all over it!! He loved the sound and loved playing it as well! It was an amazing experience to be a part of, where you could just tell that the joy that was flooding out of him by just playing and listening to music!!

Mr. Beatles

Now Mr. Beatles, you might say wow what an interesting name, Why Mr. Beatles. Let me tell you when this rock star had the chance to listen to anything it was the Beatles. He especially loved it when he was upset or doing physical therapy! One of my favorite memories with Mr. Beatles was when the same times I would bring out the guitar and I would just stand by him or sit with him and just play. He loved the sound of the guitar and his smiles could light up the whole room. This little man also had one of the best laughs! He would make him self laugh from snorting or just hearing a funny noise. But you know when you are blind the world is brought to life with sounds, like snorting, the Beatles, and musics from a out of tune 5 string guitar!

Princess Elsa

Princess Elsa is the sweetest human that is just a joy to be around! She loves to dance, play in water, read books, and just play!! One of the coolest things that I learned this month about Princess Elsa was that she has very little hearing. You might hear this and say what is this cool? Well let me tell you she is a C student in a main stream classroom and more often then not does not have a hearing aid in!! This is amazing and she is thriving in crazy ways!! My favorite memory with princess Elsa would be one day after nap time we had a dance party to Disney music and to see her just dance around to all the music of Frozen twirling and jumping was just a definition of the Lords Joy!!

 Spiderman

Spiderman!!! This is not a name for the weak for sure! Spiderman gets his name from being a human that has super powers that not everyone can see. I saw this for real life this past month! Spiderman was a real like super hero! He does not have control over his hands but boy does he with his feet. He has a communication board that he can talk through and he will tell you what he would like or what he needs, and he totally understands what he is saying! And watch out for your toes because when he is on the move he might just run over your feet! Something that was really special to watch one day was Superman playing in the water during a pool party! We got to watch him use a squirt gun, splash in the water and just have a lot of fun!!

Little Old Man.

Little old man is the perfect name for this munchkin. When he would walk around it was just like an old man was walking around. With his arms crossed and a very serious look on his face he was just doing his thing. But boy did he like to cuddle and to just sit on your lap. As the month went on we saw more and more of his little boy come out and one of the best times was when Clay, he came to visit us from the US, came to ministry with us. Little Old Man loved Clay and we really saw his personality come alive it was so much fun to see!
