This year about 30 people and I celebrated Easter on the top of a hill at a Buddhist Temple that looked over the entire city of Chiang Mai Thailand!!
It was beautiful we left to start at 5 am to see the sun rise above the city!
First communion to remember what Jesus had done for us just 3 Days prior.
Now to the story of the WOMEN going to check on Jesus. This is what I talked about, it was WOMEN that went and checked on Jesus Body and found an empty tomb!!
But they were not just your “good church going Women”. Actually they were quite the opposite they were women that had been saved from demon passion, been prostitutes, been adulterous and much more. But when Jesus met them he set them free of all of those things!
He called them a new creation and they were beyond faithful to him.
When they went to the tomb they found out that it was empty and they were afraid thinking that someone had taken there Lord!!
But in John 20 the first person that Jesus appeared to was it his group of men that had been following him for the past 3 years…. NO it was the women that was possessed by 7 demons, Mary Magdalene!!
She was the one that Jesus first showed himself to. She was the one that was given the task of going and telling all of his disciples that he was not dead but ALIVE.
The women who many people just walked by and ignored now had the most important job of all time that the Lord has given her. She also what privileged with being the first to see Jesus alive after she watched him die a death on a cross just three days prior.
So before Jesus, Mary Magdalene was a person that people ignored, she was possessed with 7 demons and also just was lonely….
But after she met Jesus she was loved, cherished, and TRUSTED BY THE LORD.
We all did something called cardboard testimonies during worship. This is when you write on one side of the cardboard what you were before Jesus and then where you are after!!
It is amazing to see the freedom that the Lord gives us written out and proclaimed in-font of people!!

Here is a video that one of my squad mates Taylor made of all of our cardboard testimonies!!!
