Do you know what it looks like for 150 children to march around a courtyard at 8 am in the morning singing to drums!!
I did not know before this month in Ghana!! But boy do I now!!
Ghana’s Independence Day is at the beginning of March! And the children at our school this month are starting to practice marching now!!
As we were waiting for classes to start all of the girls and the boys we marching around the courtyard and Amber and I jumped right in!! Why stand around when you can be part of the fun!! We learned what it means to march in Ghana!!
What this looks like is arms strait and shoulder height, with legs strait and your heals hitting the ground!!
We walked with one of our new friends Stephanie. She is a spunky 13 year old who is the sweetest and has really just taken us this month!! She loves to learn the new songs we sing. She has invited us to her house to stop to see her goat, to show us her Mango Trees, and gave us delicious apple soda and just had some great conversations!!

This is Stephanie!!
This month has been a whirlwind but so much fun!! Who would have thought that marching on red dirt for an entire hour would be something that I will never forget!!
Talk to you soon!!
