I just wanted to give you a few updates on what is going on with my Life, Race Planning, Fundraising, and some really cool events that are coming up very soon!
Well it is officially 7 months until I leave on the World Race and I am so excited. What is going on in my life right now is that I am in my last semester of college! This semester I am taking four classes and I am a Teacher Assistant for two culinary labs as well. I also am starting a new job at a juicery and smoothie cafe next week which I am very excited for. The last major thing that is going on in my life right now is that I am just preparing every day for this AMAZING Trip and experience that I will be having in just a few short months.
Now the first thing I would like to share about some of the trip panning is that there has been a change in the countries that I will be Traveling to this upcoming year due to a safety concern that is occurring in Cameroon at this time. So, the team at Adventure in Missions and The World Race has removed some of the countries that I previously was going to and have replace it with some amazing new countries that I will be traveling to now!
So, my new route that I will traveling to is will be El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Cote d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Ghana, Nepal, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Philippines.
I am very excited for this but I believe that God’s plan is the most ultimate plan and I am excited to see what he has planned for these new countries.
So now on to Fundraising. As of today, I am at 13.57% of my total fundraising goal! This is so amazing and I am beyond blessed with the help of everyone so far that has donated towards my trip. As I said before, my main goal about fundraising would be to be fully fundraised by August so that when I leave I do not have to worry about fundraising in the field.
So many have asked how I am going to do this because $17,617 is a lot of money! How I will do this is I have realized that it is not just me alone but with the help of everyone with sponsorship either one time or monthly or though fundraisers is how I will get to that ultimate goal of $17,617. Also, starting now and for the next months leading up to August I will be having many fundraisers that will help with raising that percentage up more and more to 100%.
That being said I have some amazing fundraisers that are coming up that I would love to tell you about.

Another Fundraiser that is coming up is a Fundraising dinner that I will be at the Quill in Manchester, which is the student run restaurant at my university that I have been very involved with though out my college career. The dinner will be on Friday March 24th at 6pm and the price will be somewhere from 25-30 dollars a person. The dinner will be many different foods that I may be eating when I am on my trip. Some other fundraisers that will be coming up is that I have Jars that are filled with facts about specific counties. These jars are to “ADOPT A COUNTRY” Jars that I will be traveling to. What you can do with these jars could be filling them with any loose change that would go towards my final mission trip fund or inspirational quotes or notes that you would like give to me to read while I am in that country. Each Jar will be $10 and if you would like to adopt an entire continent that will be $30. (You will keep the jar and I will just be collecting what is inside the Jar)
Also, I will be doing a special fundraiser for my 22nd Birthday on April 11th so stayed tuned for that! Over the summer, I will be having a summer open house get together and looking for catering opportunities and babysitting jobs before I head out in August.
