Hi everyone my name is Julia and I am 21 years old. I am in my senior Year of college at Southern New Hampshire University. I am studying Culinary Management and minoring is Sociology.
I grew up in Ashby Massachusetts, a small little town in the middle of nowhere. I grew up with my two sisters Gretchen and Emily and my parents Steve and Diane.

My older sister Gretchen is married to my brother in-law Paul and they have two amazing boys James who is 4 and Andrew who is 1. They are so much fun to be around when we go and visit them in Maryland.

Some things that I truly love are the color pink and sparkles, cooking and baking, puppies and dogs, selfies, and hanging out with friends and making memories.

(Making Memories with my BEST FRIENDS!)
Growing up I always loved when missionaries came to our church and talked to us about what they were doing and I always thought that they were the most amazing people around. But I never imagined that I would ever go into the mission field. When I was in high school I had the opportunity to go on my first mission trip and I traveled to Oklahoma to a Native American Reservation that had an Orphanage for children that were effected by domestic violence, drugs and alcohol abuse and other crimes on Native American Reservations. What we did on this mission trip was help with the up keeping of the orphanage by painting the houses that needed some touch up and also with some other repairs around the orphanage. This week was amazing and the love for missions was implanted into my heart and I knew that mission would always be important but it that I would just go on short mission trips and help out the best that I could for that time.
When I got to college I still had the passion for missions in my heart and I was able to express this many different ways. First I was able to participate in a Service Learning class where I was able to volunteer in the city of Manchester, where my university is located, and help children at an after school program. Though out college I have had many opportunities to take service learning classes.

Also though school I have had to opportunity to go on alternative Spring Breaks. My sophomore year I had to opportunity travel to Long Island New York to help with rebuilding to after Hurricane Sandy.

Also Last March I had the opportunity to travel to Santa Julia Nicaragua to help the community with building a water pilla, which is a water harvester to collect rain water. Both of these trips were amazing and brought more and more thoughts about missions into my heart and mind every time that I thought about them.
Last Year is when God really started to work in my life on what I was going to be doing after graduating college and the world Race organization popped up on my radar and after much prayer and thought I know that this program was what I was supposed to be applying for and I could not be more excited to see how God works in my life and the lives of people around me.
So a little more about the Trip!!! The world race route that I am going on is leaving August 2017. We will be traveling to amazing places and doing the work for the kingdom. I will be traveling with my team to Nicaragua, Guatemala, Belize, Cameroon, Gabon, and Republic of the Congo, Nepal, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Yes that is right 11 months to 11 countries on three different continents.
