What do my teammates have to say about me?
This week team Kairos did guest blogs. Each of us wrote something short about everyone on our team, so this was the compilation of what was said about me! A little different, but really cool to see what everyone was thinking!
ALINA
Josie, the ultimate bug killer. There are some pretty gross bugs around the world. I could listen to her amazing life stories for hours. She is a gifted storyteller. This girl is one of THE SWEETEST people I know. She literally can make me laugh until I snort, and it’s wonderful.
Josie seriously has so much to share and offer. I truly see her speaking through the Holy Spirit during ministry all the time. She has so much wisdom and I always am eager to hear what she has to say and share. I seriously admire her walk with the Lord, it encourages me that we are never finished, that He is always working through us. The Lord has blessed her with so many gifts, and I see her continuously using them and sharing them with everyone around her.
Josie- you are so so lovely and I’m so glad I have a gal pal like you to do the race with.
DAKOTA
Fun Fact- she is good at art work things, and is also a good cook and she is currently mad at me because I didn’t share my chai coffee with her lol
she is really good at serving people and always has a good attitude about everything.
MATT
Josie has tons of interesting stories about growing up. She has been deemed the most interesting person we have ever met because of them. Josie is a very funny person, and is very easy to have a conversation with. She dives into scripture and really immerses herself in it. She so strongly desires to understand the teachings of the Lord; she is truly pursuing Him. Her desire to be a strong Woman of Christ is very evident and honorable. Josie was also so passionate about getting to know the team; she made it a point to build a relationship with every one of us, and that meant a lot. She cares so much about every single person.
ZACK
Josephine’s name means new life, and it’s so amazing! Today she shared what God has been speaking to her from the book of Luke and it’s seriously so incredible to hear her talk about what the Lord is doing. She laughs freely and speaks with sincerity.
KARA
Sometimes when I think of Josie I just laugh. We bonded one day over cleaning our bathroom for 3 hours. She reads children’s bible stories to me on the kitchen floor at 11 pm. She has a flexible neck… or at least will one day. She sits in the back of trucks with me and laughs uncontrollably. What a hooligan. Josie has random stories about her life and I constantly tell her that she’s the most interesting person I know. We went to watch the stars one night in Botswana and talked about what we were excited for and what we were struggling with. As I listened to Josie speak she was humble in everything she said, but was filled with confidence. She speaks with kindness and grace. The Lord has such crazy plans for Josie’s life and I cannot wait to see how she uses her gifts and talents.
KATE
FUN FACT! Josie has one of the most interesting lives of anyone I’ve ever met. There is no end to her stories and her funny tales. One of my favorite moments on the race with her was just the other night. At midnight, as the four team kairos girls were getting ready for bed, we decided to cut Josie’s hair. Two hours later, Josie was 7-inches-of-hair lighter and we were all way more tired.
I have been so blown away by the way that Josie decides on grace and walks with an elegance and confidence. She has taught me so much about what it means to be a woman, to be strong, to be trustworthy. Her spontaneity, her heart full of selflessness, and her crazy, beautiful LOVE for Jesus are things I learn from and admire daily.
ZACH
-Josie is quirky and covertly hilarious. She has lots of random, fascinating life stories.
-Josie is always calm, and she is one of the kindest people I know. She is very encouraging, and I’m fairly certain she has never had a bad attitude.
NOAH
Josie, the sister I never had. She seems quiet at first, but then she roasts you with smiles and dry humor. My favorite! Everyone thought we hated each other at training camp because our fun little bonding “fights”. Josie has a heart of gold and a smile to match. She always checks up on me and is willing to be there whenever I need her. I have seen such a desire in her to grow in relationship with Jesus and that has been a constant inspiration. From day one I have counted her as a blessing in my life.
