I was inspired by the verse Isaiah 6:8– Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here I am. SEND ME.”
I did some research about the verse above and did not realize the context behind it. God is calling Isaiah, a prophet, to a new a difficult task and a new direction in his service. God warns Isaiah that the people he will be ministering to are not going to believe and Isaiah has to teach a message about judgment and warning to the people. But, God gives Isaiah the words and message he needs to carry out his calling. I believe God is equipping me with the knowledge and the words I will need on His calling on my life as I embark on this great adventure. I know I will not be able to reach everyone I encounter but what matters is that one life I will change forever. I know God will use me in ways I cannot even imagine and even if it’s one life I will touch it will make the whole trip worth it.
So here I am God, send me.
