Hey! My name is Jenna and I am 23 year old. I grew up in Holland, Michigan (15 minutes from the lake) and where my family still lives. I moved to the east side, metro Detroit to go to college and after graduating a year and half ago decided to stay and work in the area. I miss being so close to family but am able to make it home for long weekends. I have gained an additional family and great support system where I currently live with my college friends and church family.
I am a registered nurse currently working in a Trauma One Emergency Center. I my job is unpredictable and at times intense but I thrive in the fast paced work environment. I fill my days off with travel and adventure! I also am an avid runner, nutritionist and cook. I co-lead a young adult small group through my church and love my church family! I love hanging with friends and am always up for new experiences and creating relationships. I spend as much time outside as possible but not in the winter. Sitting on my porch in the morning sun with a cup of coffee and my devotional is the perfect way to start the day 🙂
I am so excited God has opened the door for me to go on the race. I have been on many mission trips and have a heart for serving others. My first mission trip was in high school to Costa Rica and a couple years later had the opportunity to go to Bolivia. Experiencing new cultures and seeing God’s work first-hand is my passion and have continued to ask God to provide another opportunity to serve His people. This past year I have been able to use my medical background as well to reach people physically leading the way to emotional and spiritual healing as well. God has laid this race on my heart and has been opening the doors to this incredible experience. I am ready to embrace whatever He has planned for this part of my journey through life!
