Our weeks have been full of English at the after-school center and Harmony Church. We’ve also had the opportunity to enjoy fellowship with some of our new friends here in Alba Iulia as well as some squad mates. Here’s a glimpse into a week of our Romania lives!
Loving on kids at the Center. The absolutely adore taking hats and sunglasses and “looking like” our boys.
Dosson, the human playground.
Precious moment!
Homework funwork!
One afternoon we were invited over to Pastor Marcell’s house for lunch. On our way, we met LJ(or so we’ll call him since he didn’t speak English) one of the many gypsy boys we’ve run into this month in Romania. (Photo Credit to Dosson
A delicious lunch in their gorgeous home! Hospitality is abounding here.
A walk and game of fetch with their lab, Gimley.
Walks around town for exploring or evangelizing always include the citadel.
A beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness and goodness to us.
An exciting adventure day to the nearby Salina Turda (salt mines).
The salt deposits and patterns were a sight to be seen!
We found our home-state here at the bottom of the mine near the lake!
They’ve turned part of the obsolete mine into an amusement park of sorts. It is definitely a one-of-a-kind place to see!
We’ve really been enjoying our time here, and the Lord is definitely moving. It’s been an honor to come alongside of our brothers and sisters here with ministry as well as enjoying their homes and hospitality. It’s hard to believe that we have less than a week here and month 2 will have come and gone. We can say that we definitely agree with a former Racer who said, “The days are long, but the months are short!”.
Until Next Time,
Jonathan & Devon
