It seems like it wasn’t long ago I sat down to write a post about Advent last year, but here it is again!
For anyone who doesn’t know what Advent is, it is the beginning of the new Christian year. It starts on the fourth Sunday before Christmas. It is my favorite time of the year. As we prepare and fast for the coming of our King!
As the four predatory weeks go by, my heart literally (I do mean literally, here) builds with anticipation and excitement. How can you not get excited about hearing all the prophecies telling of Christ Jesus’ birth?
Just hearing about all going into preparing the way for Christ’s birth is amazing in and of itself. I love Advent and all it holds, not just because of the historical and symbolic meanings, it’s just a reminder of how God orchestrated His love for the world!
