Where in the world is Jackson Moushon? Is he in Africa? No, but he was a few hours ago. Is he in Brazil or Peru? No, but he was was a few minutes ago. Now he is in Ecuador, his final resting place on the race. Not that it will really be all that restful.
Finally, God has brought me to the last country I’m going to on this crazy adventure. Africa was amazing, but after almost twenty hours of plane rides, not counting layovers, I have left the land of my mother behind. My mom was a missionary to Africa, and it became a beloved place in her heart. My father was able to play James Bond and help the underground church in China, and so it became his land. I am now in South America, the land where missions started for me, just a few years ago. Is it my land?
I think I know the answer already, but since it’s only day one, I cannot know for sure. I pray that God uses my team and me to bring Jesus and love, sorry for the redundancy, to Ecuador. It is the beginning of the end of my world race journey, but, like it was with my parents and their many missions trips, I know it is not the end of my adventures.
Joy in the journey.
