(This section will be a lot funnier if you read it in the most epic voice you can think of.)

The date was September 14th: 2:37 A.M. Location: Mumbai airport. Two unassuming young men had a singular goal, find food. They thought it would be simple, but they were wrong. Luke and Jackson had just gotten off of an extremely long flight, and they were both hungry. Unsatisfied by the mundane idea of eating at Burger King, the two men decided to wait for KFC, which they had, coincidentally, sat down in front of. They waited many hours, but their patience was not rewarded. KFC never opened, so the distraught young men settled for Burger King. The men went on into India and Nepal, not giving a second thought to the KFC they had left behind. The story should have ended there. But it didn’t.

Almost two months later, these same men had a second chance at redemption. And by redemption, I mean KFC. To go forward, you must sometimes first go back a few steps. This is especially true for airport travel. Luke and Jackson returned to the Mumbai airport! This time they were not leaving without their KFC! After ten hours of waiting for the airport to allow them in, the intrepid young men marched straight to the food court. They saw Burger King, and scoffed. They saw Subway, and didn’t settle for it. They walked up to their beloved KFC, and to their astonishment, it was open! They were elated! Jackson ordered the largest popcorn chicken KFC had. Luke ordered the only sized Double Down that KFC had. Both men embraced, and ate their chicken. It was also extremely spicy because they were in India. They didn’t care, however. They had their KFC!

(This is the part of the post, where I tell you what I’m doing right now.)

(Ok, well, what I’m doing besides writing a blog post.)

I am currently sitting in the Ethiopian airport, waiting to get on another plane and head to Zimbabwe. It’s been a crazy couple days traveling, and it’s not nearly over. We left Nepal early yesterday morning. I’m going to miss Nepal. It’s a great place to minister in, and it is also the most beautiful country I have visited yet. Anyway, we left Kathmandu and stopped by Delhi really quickly. After a few hours of plane delays, we headed to Mumbai. You already know how Mumbai went. That catches us up to the present. After we reach Zimbabwe, we have a couple hours in a Hostel. After that, we get on a bus for about seven hours. This has been a really long couple of days, and it’s only half way through. I would appreciate prayers for our safety as we travel into Africa, as well as prayers for our ministry here. The next four months in Africa are going to be difficult, but I know that God has great things planned for us. Anyway, you are now as up to date as I am. Love and miss everyone back home. I’ll talk to y’all later!
