(The title of this blog should be read to the time of “I kissed a girl, and I liked it” or it’s just a really weird sounding title.)
Funny story time! I was in the main building in which we are staying here in India, just watching videos with a friend. Suddenly, Kendall (the aforementioned friend) squeals. I am, of course, immediately concerned. Can you guess what she saw right by her foot? You guessed right! That is, if you guessed it was a scorpion. (Gotcha) At this revelation, I am, of course, immediately a LOT more concerned. The scorpion then runs under where we’re sitting, which prompts us to move and find it. After some looking, we find it again. I am about to smash it with my shoe when suddenly, one of he locals comes up and says something probably along the lines of “Oh my gosh! A scorpion!” but in his language of Hindi. Then he smashes it.
At this point, I hear a commotion about a rat. Unsurprisingly, this rat just so happens to be in my room. Yay…. I head to my room and begin the hunt. The hunt consists mostly of me screaming, runing towards the rat, and running from the rat. Rodrigo and Elijah were also after the Rat woth me. After about ten minutes of running screaming and brick throwing, (don’t ask) one of the locals who lives here beatS the Rat to “death” with a shoe. We were victorious! The Rat had been vanquished! So, to celebrate, Rodrigo threw it into the girls’ room. Of course, the girls freak out. It landed near the door, so no one is willing to open the door to let one of us dudes to dispose of it. Finally, the door opens and Rodrigo goes to pick it up. I followed as moral support. Suddenly, a miracle! The rat is alive! It immediately escapes Rodrigo and runs into all the girls’ stuff. Once again, we must catch and kill the Rat. Rodrigo attempts to catch him, but he can’t quite get it. At this point, I’m tired of this Rat and I’m ready to go back to watching videos. Fed up with the vile vermin, I vivascioualy vitiated the rodent. Aka, I hit it really hard with my shoe a couple times. I then removed the Rat from the girls’ room. To my surprise, the locals wanted to see the Rat. They for sure finished it off. (I’m not sure what they did, but last time i saw the Rat, they had a knife to it so…)
