This blog is dedicated to all the future World Racers out there & anyone wondering what you pack when you travel for 11 months. I do plan on making a list of what not to bring & things I wish I knew about packing!! I was that person that read 19 packing blogs (LITERALLY), read the AIM packing list and checked off my former non-profit’s packing list from previous mission trips (Shout out to Christian Brigades!). I promise nothing ever gets you quiet ready. You will eliminate and add as you go to each country. You will find what you NEED in other countries if you didn’t bring it or you’ll find a way to get it. Not only that but you will have the “process” be your own; from knowing what to pack and how to pack. I promise it gets easy! I was that girl that showed up to launch with 62lbs and had to get rid of 17lbs!! At one point my bag dropped to 38lbs but I have been collecting souvenirs for family since I’m on month 10; so I’m back to under 50lbs. Family & Friends enjoy reading all I owned for the last 10 months!! I first created this list in Rwanda and it has changed since then. When I opened up my pack to make the count a RAT came out of my pack. Yes, I screamed & thanks Tate for getting it out of my room. Welcome to the World Race! 🙂
