Myanmar was a month of memories.  This month I did so much more than teach English.  I got the opportunity to share Jesus’ love and plant seeds that I know the Lord will be faithful to sew.  I pray that I will see some of these beautiful faces in heaven some day and hear how the Lord brought them to himself.  They all have such unique stories and this month I got the chance to hear them and become apart of them. To the beautiful souls that I got a chance to love on this month I hope you know how proud of you I am for your progress with English but more than that how treasured you are to Jesus and to me.  Our time together has blessed me more than you ever know! Everyone else I hope you enjoy a little snapshot of what God is doing in Myanmar!

Jr. English Class! I have to admit the Kindergarten teacher in me loved teaching this class! I felt right at home with these guys! Tim and John I’ll miss the challenge of making you laugh and showing you Jack Hartmann videos!

These are our boys! Our team got the closest to this group of guys. They took us to the game shop they spend the majority of time at and welcomed us into their lives with open arms.  They are true gentleman from providing us a taxi ride home, riding the bus across town to make sure we got home safe, and even getting us all a beautiful necklace to remember them by.  Not that they needed to.  Guys you are unforgettable! You will be in my heart and prayers forever! Two of them love the Lord and I pray the others will soon!

Our team got to host a American/Myanmar Culture Night in the park with some of our students.  We sang, danced, played games, and enjoyed some great food! The students also got the chance to hear the gospel and how much Jesus loves them! We got to hang out with them in the park every Friday night!

We got the honor of giving these two beautiful little girls their English names. Meet Grace and Hannah! We taught them how to sing “Jesus Loves me” in English.

One of the best parts of my month was working with and living life with our hosts, Teacher Mang and Sister Ruth.  I love these two so much! They poured into us and loved us as their own daughters.  They challenged us to bring the love of Christ everywhere we went in Yangon, Myanmar. They are expecting their first baby and we got the privilege of throwing them a gender reveal party and it was so much fun!

IT’S A GIRL!!!!!

As I leave tomorrow, I take with me a month full of memories and a heart full of joy! God is continually teaching me how to love deeply and leave knowing His work is not done.  He will be in Myanmar long after me and working to bring his Kingdom here.  He loves these beautiful people so much more than I ever could. It is such an honor to be able to be apart of  what He’s doing here and around the world!
