This is a hard one to write! Most of my blogs so far have been about happy things and the amazing things God is doing in my life. Well this one is STILL about the amazing things God is doing in my life! It is just a little more bittersweet than the ones thus far. For the past 3 and half or so years I have been apart of the incredible community, Trinity Fitness Central Florida. TFCF’s mission is to inspire people through group fitness to get in the best physical and spiritual shape of their lives. That has been our mission and we have accomplished that mission!
I started here a few years because I found out I had a medical condition that required consistent exercise. I heard about this guy doing group exercise classes at my church and thought why not try it out. I tried it out alright, almost died the first night! I’ve been told the trainers wondered if I would ever come back after a certain med ball incident! But I went back and I am so grateful I did. I was hooked! It was challenging, but such an amazing environment. I had never met people who wanted to see me succeed physically and spiritually. You see the heartbeat of this gym was to bring people to Jesus. They really cared about my heart. I quickly caught the vision and wanted to do more.
After a few months we were able to secure a gym location and our team was growing. We decided to start a children’s class, which I was fully on board for. I knew to be able to teach this class I had to go through the regular trainer’s certification. I was hesitant from the beginning. But our director saw something in me that I never knew was there. God has taken a girl who ATTEMPTED Zumba classes and never really lifted any weight in her life and made me a trainer. Now guys that is a testament that God doesn’t call the equipped, he equips the called! Believe me I was not equipped to do this! But God used me anyway. After a lot of things transpired and our kid’s classes didn’t work out, I was doing adult classes on a regular basis. If you had looked at me 5 years ago, if you had told me what I would be doing I would have laughed. But God has shown me what HE can do with a simple obedient yes. He has taught me so much about what HE can accomplish! Not only has he grown me physically and in my walk, he has shown me what a beautiful community looks like. He has provided a group of driven individuals that see the importance of taking care of this temple that God has given us all. Each one of the amazing people you see in these photos have played a part in challenging and encouraging me over the last few years. They NEVER let me quit, and there were times when I wanted to. They encouraged me to do those last few reps or go for that heavier weight. To never give up because that is what glorifies God. As wonderful as all those things are, they have done so much more for my heart. They have become apart of my FAMILY. They have walked with me through the best times and the saddest time of my life, always pointing me to the cross! These Christ like examples have left me forever changed! As I leave this place, I know I do not leave the same! Our doors may be closing, but this is not the end. God has BIG plans for every member of this beautiful family. This chapter of my life will always be one of my favorites for sure! As I close it, I look forward to another exciting chapter. I close it knowing that God used it to refine and shape my heart to be more and more like his. There will be tears as I close it, well there already have been and I’m sure they aren’t over. But they are tears of joy, knowing that this all part of the amazing book that God is writing in my life. I’m turning the page and looking ahead to the next chapter God has in store!
