So we just wrapped up our time in Asia and it was seriously the best five months. God taught me so many different things while we were there. Through the peaks and pits I have fallen in love with Asia. The people are wonderful and caring, they have their own way of doing things and it’s beautiful. The food was amazing, too! (Minus the time Juliana and I ate baby duck embryo.) The culture and fast paced mentality has me ready to go back one day! Here are five of my favorite pictures from the past five months!

This picture was on my favorite day in India. We were hanging out and having a dance party with the kids in the village one afternoon. It started raining and I asked the pastor’s son if we could go on the roof of the church to watch the sunset and dance in the rain. I have never felt more alive and more joy than I did in this moment. Dancing with these kids in the rain with a beautiful sunset in the background was incredible.

This picture was taken on our adventure weekend in Nepal. Actually, I was kind of sick this day, but it wasn’t about this specific day that made it so special, it was about the gentleman in the middle. His name is Rab, and the Lord is pursuing him! He is the owner of a restaurant/hotel and pipe shop. He is also Buddhist. We got to tell Rab about Jesus on several occasions and even give him a Bible. I still believe that the Lord will reveal himself to him.

This picture was taken on one of the longest days in Thailand. We woke up at 4am to ride to Chang Rai so that Pat (our host) could speak with people at a prison in the hopes of partnering with them in the future. This day we laughed, cried and had a pretty great time on our ride there and back. We hung our heads out the window and enjoyed the beauty of Thailand. The wind on my face and freedom I felt was indescribable.

Meet Phon! He is a little boy that I grew attached to pretty quickly in Cambodia while we lived at the orphanage. He has an older brother named Mai and their bond is adorable. Phon’s laugh is infectious and his hugs are unlike any other I’ve experienced. Phon made everyday fun and I always enjoyed playing with him!

This was my one of my favorite days in Vietnam. Our students from English club wanted to take us on mottos to Hoi An. Hoi An is an ancient town that sits near a river. The ride took about 30 minutes and being on the back of a motto was amazing. We walked around the city, had street food, shopped and went on a boat ride. It was seriously so much fun. On our way back home some of the students stopped so that we could take pictures by the Christmas decorations.

These last five months have flown by and have change my life in so many ways. We are literally almost half way done with the race which is crazy to think about. We have a layover in Singapore, then we will head to Ethiopia! I won’t have WiFi or my phone plan. So if you wanna know what I’m up to, subscribe to my blog! PEACE

XOXO
