The time has come for me to make some life decisions. Up until this point I have been very unsure with all the options before me, but I gladly announce that next year I will be taking a gap year and doing some very exciting things!
I have been accepted to the Adventures in Mission’s World Race Gap Year program. This means in September 2017 I will leave American soil for nine months. Nine amazing, God-filled months. I will be traveling to Mongolia, China, Malawi, Zambia, and Ecuador. On the day to day basis, I am unsure of what I will be doing. That will be unclear until the day arrives. But as a whole, this will be a year dedicated to serving God in whatever way He calls. This may include (but is not limited to) teaching English, caring for the needy, helping startup churches, digging ditches, praying hard, praying even harder, and spreading love like wildfire.
If you want to be a part of this mission trip, you can support me in many ways. First and foremost, I ask for your prayer. Pray for my team, my leader, myself, and most importantly pray for God to move hearts. “And this is the confidence that we have towards Him, that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us.” 1 John 5:14.
Another way to help me is by financially donating. To go on this mission trip, I must raise $14,951. This covers meals, travel, lodging, training, and administrative costs. This seems like quite the daunting sum, but in comparison to my God, this is nothing. My God can move mountains, create worlds, and perform unimaginable miracles. My God is capable of anything, and if He wants me on this mission trip, He will provide.
You will be able to keep up with my journey on my World Race blog at hannahplunkett.theworldrace.org. I will do my best to log as many pictures and stories as possible! You can contact me now at [email protected] with any prayers or prayer requests. My blog will also show you how far I am with my fundraising goal. Thank you for your support!
