When I was young I met God as my Savior through Jesus. I knew at a young age that this God was real and through going to church and being raised in a Christian home I believed the scriptures and the truth in them.
Growing up I met God as my Provider through shelter, through education and through relationships.
Growing up I met God as the Guard over my heart.
In middle school I met and experienced the Holy Spirit for the first time.
Around the dinner table I met God as the Author of Humor and laughter.
In pain and sadness I’ve met God has my Embrace and Shoulder to cry on.
I have met God as my Close Friend.
I have met God as my Lover.
I have met God as my Protector.
I’ve met God as my Biggest Fan.
I’ve met God as my Help.
I’ve met God as Wisdom.
I’ve met God as my Delight.
I’ve met God as my Deliverer.
I’ve met God as my Healer.
I’ve met God as the coolest Storyteller.
I’ve met God as The Musician.
I’ve met God as my Dance Partner.
I’ve met God as Sarcasm.
I’ve met God as Patience.
I’ve met and seen God has the greatest Artist and Creator.
God always seems to meet me where I am at. I could never explain the ways of how I have met God, learning more of who God is and His character has deepened my need and love for Him. I’m not done or will ever be done meeting Him in different ways or ways that I need to be reminded of. I desire to know Him as my King, I desire to know Him as my Enough, I desire to know His emotions, I desire to know Him as my Father, I desire to know Him as my forever Teacher and forever Lover.
Even me writing this God probably has a big ole smile on His face thinking “She has no idea” because I want Him to blow me away and surprise me!

What are aspects of God’s character you want to know and ask Him to reveal them to you, He’s not shy and He is pretty confident in who He is so I think He will do just that.
And in the end if I only met Jesus as my Savior, I would be very pleased to have met Him. He decided to stick around for me. 🙂
