Happy Thanksgiving from Cambodia!
I wanted to write a blog describing what I am thankful for, but there is too much, I just couldn’t begin to type it all…so, I made a video! I compiled pictures and some videos of just a few things I am thankful for. As I made this video, I cried. Yes, I cried because a lot of the things I am thankful for are the many members of my family, who all happen to be thousands of miles away right now. But, I also cried in awe of God’s goodness. I cried because I realized the abundance of loving, beautiful people that surround me everyday. I cried because I am in awe of God’s blessings within my life. I am in awe of the people that He has allowed me to love and had the honor of living this crazy thing called life with. I am in awe of who He has created me to be. I am in awe of His faithfulness. I am in awe of His perfect plan. I am in awe of His creation. I am in awe of His grace and mercy.
I mean think about it. If you just sit and reflect on the goodness of God and just how BIG He really is, you cant help but be thankful. Psalms 139 says,” Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” To think that the Lord knew me and knew everything about me before the world was even formed…that is AMAZING!!
I am in awe that God would allow me the honor to follow Him around the world and share this love with everyone I encounter. I want everyone to have this realization. I want everyone to know that there is a God who loves them, sees them, chose them before the foundation of the world, and desires for them to know of this love.
So, above all…yes, even family… I am thankful for God. I am thankful that I serve a God who loves me as far as the east is from the west. I am thankful that He loves me regardless of every mistake I have made or will make in the future. I am thankful that He gave me the family, friends, job, and other opportunities that I have. His goodness is never ending.
So thank you Jesus for being you! Thank you for being perfect, gracious, comforting, merciful, big, gentle, jealous, righteous, loving…etc…we could go on forever!
And Thank you to everyone in my life. Thank you for loving me, supporting me, encouraging me, and praying for me! My support system is AMAZING!!! I love each and every one of you so dearly!!
