Hello people who are reading my blog!
What’s up?
How’s life?
Are you in the Christmas spirit yet?
ARE YOU HYPED FOR JESUS’ BIRTHDAY?
I’m currently working with an organization called hope at hand, and working at a Special Needs Home… so that’s what’s up with me!
Life in Honduras is SO COOL! I LOVE IT AND ITS SORTA COLD BUT NOT REALLY COLD!
I am so much in the Christmas spirit… I fall asleep to Christmas music most nights….
and I’ve finished my Christmas shopping!!AND I AM SOOOO HYPED FOR JESUS’ BIRTHDAY!
But really life has been amazing! As most if not all of you know to go on the World Race you have to fundraise a certain amount of money. For me and my squad it was $14,951 each. Ya that’s a lot. I am so happy to say that I am fully funded. However 2 of my 4 teammates are not. They did have till December 29th to be fully funded but by the grace of God they got a one month extension. So now they have until January 29th! PRASIE JESUS!!!!
So this is a blog about fundraising but not for myself. This blog is for my teammates Drew Doyle and Lexi Grisanti!
Let me tell you a little about them!
Drew is our team mom and the most artistic person I have met. She can do wonders when it comes to art and she has a way with words. She is passionate about worship and has led my team in a foot washing worship night. She has a heart for special needs kids and has spent summers at a camp working one on one with kids. Drew is so unique and she’s not afraid to be honest about stuff you need to hear. Which I really need. She has a heart for serving Jesus and it’s been beautiful to see. It has been an honor to see how Jesus has been working in her these past three months. She is someone who has been through a lot in her life and still turns to Jesus. She is someone I can look up to when it comes to dealing with past struggles. She has revealed to me that that it’s okay to bring past things up and work through them. Drew Doyle is someone I have quickly seen become a sister in my life.
Lexi is a free spirit. She is crazy and doesn’t hold back! She’s not afraid to be loud in a quiet place. Lexi is the most caring person I know and doesn’t fail to comfort someone by rubbing there arm or talking in a soothing voice when needed. Jesus is very evident in lexi! She’s not afraid to walk up to a random person in a Cambodian cafe and ask to pray for them. You could say she has the Holy Spirit following through her. Lexi is someone I can go to when I have no clue what’s going on with myself and my life… it happens a lot. Lexi Grisanti is the first person I have fully let into my heart and trusted fully in a long time and has helped me allow others in even us she doesn’t know it. Lexi Grisanti is my best friend and my sister.
Both of these girls, my teammates, my rocks, my sisters. They have become part of my family and I wouldn’t change them for anything. But our small team of five has become a small family. Drew, Taley, Ashley, Lexi and myself. I’ll admit at the beginning we were all sort of iffy with one another. It pains me to think of our team ever having to be separated.
So yes I am asking you to consider helping them out. Any amount helps. $1, $5, $20 any amount brings an immense amount of Joy to our whole team. If donating is not what you are feeling called to do, I ask for you prayers as all five of us work together to get Drew and Lexi fully funded.
Drew has $3,416 left to raise and Lexi has around $1,700. Please consider donating so I don’t have to loose my sisters.
In the words of Lexi- “please don’t send me and my baby girl home”
In the words of Ashley- “PLEEEEASEEEE”
In the words of Taley- “please don’t send the loves of my life away”
In the words of Drew- “help me I’m poor”
