November 23rd, this year Thanksgiving, every year since ’96 my parents anniversary and since ’98 my birthday.

I got to write a Thanksgiving blog last year. It’s weird to think that around 14 months ago I was accepted onto the world race. This year for my Thanksgiving blog I am going to do 19 things I’m thankful for in honor of my 19th birthday and Thanksgiving!

1. Getting to travel the world at such a young age- if you asked me what I was going to be doing after high school while I was in high school, I would’ve told you college. I will forever be grateful for this year. I have traveled to 3 country’s before turning 19 and 5 before 20…. so weird
2. The book redeeming love- I read that book this week for the first time. It’s so good and so well written. It’s my new favorite book and I definitely recommend it (sorry for putting of reading it mom)
3. Pumpkin- yes pumpkin there is just something about the taste of pumpkin that makes me soooo happy
4. Jesus turning my life topsy-turvey – I know that’s weird. (Go check out my blog “shame it’s a gremlin” if your confused) Jesus has done so much in my life these past three months
5. Getting to have a bed- ohhh I’m soooo grateful for the bunk beds and mattresses here at Rancho Oasis. After two months of sleeping on my mat, a bed is what my back needed
6. Psalm 23- my favorite passage in the bible. It’s soooo good
7. Access to wifi on Saturday’s so I can talk to my fam- there is no wifi at the ranch so every Saturday we hike into town to the cafe or take a bus to the next town over to get wifi.
8. New hope school and Ranch Oasis- my ministry hosts on the race so far. Both have taken us with open arms and made us feel like family
9. Peppermint tea- I drink multiple cups of this a day… I’ve replaced soda with it…. it’s soooo good. Defiantly recommend
10. Good worship music- worship is where I feel closest to the Lord and getting to put on an awesome Spotify playlist and jam out with Jesus is my favorite thing to do
11. Lexi Grisanti- lexi is my best friend both on and off the race…. sorry to those at home who thought we were bffs… I still love you;) also message me I want to talk…. this girl has been my rock and I love her so freakin much. I bet you ten bucks she going to freak when she reads this.
12. The blue book- this devo written by Jim Branch has been a guide for me as I have struggled and has revealed so much to me.
13. Socks- yes another weird one. Gah I wish I brought more socks. My feet are FREEZING here in Hondo. Mom I can hear you telling me to put on socks when I get cold and you also telling me to pack more of them when I was packing… whoops….
14. My team- Drew, Lexi, Taley and Ashley a group of girls who have quickly become my family . They are all filled with Jesus and set such a good example for me. Somehow they manage to look good even while looking crusty… yes crusty… according to some our team always looks cute
15. Rio- yes my dog… I miss her a lot and long for the day that I can cuddle with her despite the fact that my mom has altered the color of her face because of a skunk
16. Team time- every day we gather as a team and spend time together. We have worship , blogging, feedback, and debrief as some.
17. My walmart pants- so I only brought a pair of these super weird light pants that kept ZERO WARMTH. I finally broke and bought a pair of pants from Walmart (WHICH THEY HAVE HERE THANK YOU JESUS!)
18. Health- my first week in Honduras I was sick. It started off with a cold and turned into me laying in bed feeling weak. THANKFULLY I recovered quickly and now I’m alive full of energy and back to annoying lex
19. My mom- my mom is my rock. She’s awesome and I’m so grateful for her. I wouldn’t be here on this trip if it wasn’t for her. I love you mom and I can’t wait to give you a huge hug.

I’m so thankful for so many things this is just a small list! Thank y’all so much for your support and prayers.
I love you guys happy late thanksgiving!
