I am home! It is so wonderful to be back in India again. I knew I missed this country but I forgot how much until the plane hit the tarmac.
The first few days here were spent in Hyderabad as a whole squad as we went through cultural training. We got to explore the city in our free time and drink many cups of chai. After our training, we were split up into our teams to our different locations for the month.
My team and I are in a small village a few hours from Hyderabad. We are staying with the most amazing hosts G. and S. Bucket showers and only 1 squatty potty for 10 people but we love it. My team is incredible. God has already been moving in incredible ways in the villages we have reached out to.
Each day we have breakfast at 9, chill time/workout, lunch at 1, team time, and then usually leaving for ministry around 4 and not returning home until midnight. We have gotten to see a different village each night. We partner with a pastor in that village and spend an hour or so preaching, singing/worship, and sharing testimonies. At the end we pray with any of the village people who ask for prayer.
Although that is the general outline of what the day looks like, this is India (so nothing is really ever on time) and we always leave room for the Holy Spirit so no two nights have looked the same.
We have seen one woman healed from knee pain. We can be totally sure of that because we saw her running after we prayed over her! Another woman we prayed over was healed from stomach pain. Her excitement at realizing the pain was gone was incredible.
God has used our team to touch so many people in the villages, especially the pastors and their families. Even though we can only do so much in the few hours that we are there, the pastors are so blessed that we have come from across the world to pray for them and their village. They are so glad that their brothers and sisters in Christ see them and know they are there!
God is doing so many other things that I hope to share in future blogs. For now, keep praying for my team and I that we have strength to face each day even with the spiritual heaviness that we often encounter in the villages. God is good!
Love you all
